Your First Visit

At your first visit, we will cover everything needed to give you a complete understanding of your teeth and bite and how we can meet your smile goals. You will be a huge part of the consultation appointment. Letting us know your vision and asking questions will help Dr. Brigham form a plan that is catered to your needs. We want to know the parts of your smile that concern you most, and what types of appliances you would like to wear in order to achieve your goals. This is a complimentary consultation that allows you to gather information about the experience you will have at Sierra Orthodontics. If Dr. Brigham recommends starting your treatment, we will find an appointment that fits your schedule. We will verify your insurance and discuss the many payment options that are available. If Dr. Brigham recommends waiting for treatment, we will place you into our observation program to keep an eye on your teeth until it is just the right time for treatment.

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your braces usually takes about an hour and a half. Your regular treatment visits will vary from every 4 to 6 weeks apart and usually take 20 to 40 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and each month on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. We want to keep your teeth moving, so only cancel if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 4 to 6 weeks in advance.

Payment & Office Policies
  • Cost

The cost of treatment depends on the length of time needed to correct your smile. We never charge a fee until we start treatment. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We offer financial packages that will suit anyone's needs. Whether you take advantage of our discounted "pay-in-full" plan, work through our office with a Chase Financial "No Down Payment" plan from CareCredit, ChaseHealthAdvance, or use Sierra Orthodontic's complementary "NO INTEREST" payment option, we will create a plan that fits you. We accept many types of insurance plans and will file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make your smile affordable to you and your family.

  • Fees

In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:

    • If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount of 3 % for cash payment. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
    • To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
    • For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER AND AMERICAN EXPRESS.
  • Insurance

If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay (see above). Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
